First Christian Church Staff

First Christian Church is blessed to have a staff team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our staff team and their qualifications for ministry.

Jeff Robinson

Pastor

Pastor Jeff is the main face and voice that you will hear at FCC.  Pastor Jeff grew up in western Pennsylvania as the middle of 5 children and has ministered in churches for nearly 40 years. He was called to the ministry as freshman at Transylvania University (really). He has a bachelor’s degree from Kentucky Christian College, a Master of Divinity from Lincoln Christian Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Jeff and Tína (pronounced Tie-na) have been married for 37 years and raised their four children in Illinois. Michael is married to Amanda. He works as an estimator for a interior construction company in Chicago. Samuel is married to Anna who gave birth to our second grandson, Jack. Samuel is an Emergency Medical physician in Springfield, Missouri. Samuel and Anna have our grandson, Jack. Cara is married to Andrew. She is a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy and is stationed in Pearl Harbor. They have our granddaughter, Kalea. J.J. is married to Mark. She teaches school in Indianapolis, and they have our two of our grandsons, Josiah and Malachi.

Tina was born in South Korea to John and Jane Hill who served as missionaries for the Christian churches. Tina is a graduate of Johnson Bible College. She was raise with her three brothers.  She also has three older half-siblings.

Jeff was ordained in 1983 and has served in several states. He has traveled on short-term mission trips to Mexico, Honduras, Kenya, and Myanmar. 

Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife Tína (especially riding their tandem bicycle together), connecting with his adult children, woodworking, and photography. He loves seeing people finding and following Jesus.

Lynda Jones

Church Secretary

Lynda is usually the first voice you’ll hear answering the phone and the first face you’ll see in the office.  She is a driving force in the church office keeping everyone in line and on schedule! 
 

Lynda moved to Nevada after having grown up in Austin, Texas and lived in the Houston/Galveston area for about 20 years.  Since coming to Nevada in 1990, Lynda has worked as Chamber of Commerce Director, managed a cell phone store and worked as outside sales person for Cavener’s Office Supplies.  In her spare time she likes to attend church events, sing, cycle, swim, walk, embroider and read.

Betty Morris

Financial Secretary

Betty  keeps our financial ducks in a row!  She joined the FCC staff as financial secretary in January 2015.  Her resume includes secretary at Calvary Baptist Church in Nevada as well as Calvary Christian School Principal for several years.  Betty works part-time for Ralph Shumaker, CPA, and executes financial and secretarial duties for Children’s Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. (CEMI).
 
Betty and her husband, Mike Morris, live in Moundville.  She and her husband founded CEMI in 2004.  They feel blessed to be able to provide witnessing tools using the gospel colors.  Betty and Mike have three adult sons, and are both members of Calvary Baptist Church.
